Scholarships and Aid
Christ the King students who seek financial assistance are encouraged to apply to the Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children during the fall of their 8th grade year.
This program, administered by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark, is for children attending Catholic school within the Archdiocese in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties. The application process runs from mid-October until mid-January. Awards are made on the basis of need and without regard to religion, race, or ethnicity. Reapplication is required annually. Students who qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program are particularly encouraged to apply.
Incoming 9th graders may also apply for scholarship assistance from the Student/Partner Alliance, a non-sectarian, non-profit organization which seeks to help inner-city students with economic hardship and a strong determination to succeed. This is a four-year, need-based award. Christ the King Prep is one of 11 private schools privileged to participate in this scholarship program. The application process runs from early November until March 1 of the applicant’s 8th grade year. Applications can be obtained through the Admissions Office at CTK Prep.
A limited number of “uniform scholarships” are available through CTK Prep for students needing assistance with the purchase of Christ the King school uniforms.
