Mr. Kevin Cuddihy, MEd, PD
Mr. Cuddihy, Principal at Christ the King Prep, joined the staff in August, 2007. He earned his BA from Connecticut University and his MEd and PD from Fordham University. He served at Xavier High School in Manhttan for nine years as Assistant Dean and four years as Dean. He served as Principal at St. Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City for four years before accepting his current position at Christ the King Prep. He coordinates all student and academic programs at Christ the King Prep.
Fr. Gregory Gebbia, OFM, MDiv, MA
Fr. Gebbia, a Franciscan priest with the Order of Friars Minor, serves as Associate Principal for Student Affairs at Christ the King Prep. He received his BA in History from Quincy University, Quincy, IL and his MDiv from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. In addition, he holds an MA in Theology from Fordham University in NY. Fr. Gebbia taught at Padua Franciscan High School in Parma, OH and at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA. He has also served as parochial vicar and director of liturgy at several parishes in the tri-state area. He has had ministerial experience in Mexico and Zimbabwe.
Mrs. Sandra Lerner
Mrs. Lerner, Director of the Corporate Internship Program, joined the staff of Christ the King Prep in July, 2008. She received a BA in Education and Spanish from Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, NY and a post-baccalaureate Paralegal Certificate from Adelphi University, Garden City, NY. Prior to CTK Prep, she created and managed the Internship Program at Gibbs College, Montclair and Livingston, for 11 years. Mrs. Lerner worked as a paralegal and also served as Director of Placement at New York Paralegal School, NYC, and Employment Assistance Coordinator for the Adelphi University Lawyer’s Assistant Program, through the National Center for Paralegal Training, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. She has also taught on both elementary and secondary school levels. Mrs. Lerner has two grown children and two grandchildren, and lives with her husband Bruce and golden retriever Abigail Sunshine, in West Orange.
Mr. Anthony Nicotera, JD, MSW, LSW
Mr. Nicotera joined the staff at Christ the King Prep in May, 2007, as Director of Development. He holds a JD from DePaul University's College of Law; an MSW from Loyola University of Chicago, where he also studied Theology and Philosophy; and a BA from Georgetown University, where he also studied law. He has 12 years of development and administrative experience and 14 years experience counseling, teaching and working with young people. He served as Director of Youth Outreach and Development with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston; Chaplain to DePaul University's College of Law and School for New Learning; Founder and Director of DePaul University's Center for Spirituality & Values in Practice; Co-founder of DePaul's Peace and Social Justice Studies program; Director of Together Across Generations, via Guadalupe Family Social Services Center in Camden, NJ; and Director of Alumni Development and Outreach with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps: East. Currently, he also serves as an Adjunct Professor at New York University's Silver School of Social Work. He resides in West Orange.
Mrs. Veronica Ortega
Mrs. Ortega, a life-long resident of Newark, joined the staff in September, 2007. A product of primary and secondary Catholic education, she firmly believes in its values and the mission of Christ the King Prep. Her many years of experience in human resources and office management have served her well in her position as Academic Registrar. Mrs. Ortega assists administration, helps to facilitate school events, coordinates student services, handles student records and processes report cards.
Ms. Lisa M. Papciak
Ms Papciak joined the staff at Christ the King Prep in January, 2010, as Assistant Director of Development. She holds a BA in Interior Design from Kean University and was a design director for Macy’s Corporate Store Design in New York for more than fourteen years. After leaving the corporate world, Ms. Papciak worked at Our Lady of the Holy Angels Church in Little Falls, NJ, as the staff liaison for fund raising and development for more than six years. In addition during that time, Ms. Papciak was the coordinator of faith formation for children in grades 1 – 8. She resides in Bloomfield with her husband Garry Fletcher and their dog Hudson.
Ms. Brenda Pescoran
Ms. Pescoran, a staff member at Christ the King staff in November, 2007, currently serves as the CIP coordinator. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange NJ and holds a BA in psychology and a minor in Social Work. Ms. Pescoran is an active alumni and hosts programs on educational, political, social, and cultural awareness.
Dr. Pamela Rauscher, SFO, PhD
Dr. Rauscher joined the staff at Christ the King Prep in February, 2007 as Director of Admissions. She also serves as Director of Mission and Ministry. She received a BS in Television Radio from Syracuse University, an MA in theology from Seton Hall University, and a PhD in theology from Fordham University. She worked for seventeen years as a writer, editor, and producer at ABC News and CBS News in NY, and for 5 years as an adjunct professor of theology and spirituality at Fordham. She is a member of the Secular Franciscan Order. She is married to Eric Davis and has one son.
Ms. Elizabeth Rosario
Ms. Rosario, a resident of Newark for the past 25 years, joined Christ the King Prep in August, 2008. In her role as administrative assistant, her responsibilities include assistance with the lunch program, transportation program, admissions, business, CIP, and development offices. Prior to joining CTK Prep, she worked for 16 years in customer service. Ms. Rosario is the mother of four sons.
Fr. Robert J. Sandoz, OFM, MDiv, MA
Father Sandoz, a Franciscan with the Order of Friars Minor, serves as the President of Christ the King Prep. He holds a BA from the University of Saint Thomas, MA from Saint Louis University and MDIV from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, IL. Along with his experience in education Father Sandoz has been engaged in retreat ministry, parish ministry, urban ministry and various chaplaincy ministries. He has had ministerial experiences in Guatemala, Japan and Zimbabwe.
Mr. Edward Santana, MAEd
Mr. Santana has served Christ the King Prep as Associate Principal for Academics since September, 2007. He holds a BBA in International Marketing from CUNY-Baruch College, NY and a MAED in Educational Leadership from Seton Hall University. Mr. Santana retired with the rank of Petty Officer, 3rd Class from the Naval Reserves in 2005. Prior to coming to Christ the King Prep, he was the Dean of Academics at St. Mary of the Assumption High School in Elizabeth, NJ. In addition, he served, first as Assistant Principal, and then was promoted to Acting Principal, at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City. Mr. Santana is the Athletic Coordinator and the faculty advisor for the Talent Show.
Mr. Joseph Saverimuttu
Mr. Saverimuttu, a staff member since July, 2008, is the Associate Director of Admissions and the Corporate Internship Program. He earned a BS in Marketing and General Science from Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia and a MS in Industrial and Labor Relations at West Virginia University. Upon completion of his undergraduate education, Mr. Saverimuttu worked as an Americorps and Vincentian Volunteer at Arrupe Jesuit High School, the Cristo Rey Network school in Denver, CO. His responsibilities include placing interns at their job assignments, recruiting and interviewing students; teaching Computer Literacy, Speech, and Business Literacy.
Sister Maureen Sullivan, SC
Sister Maureen is a member of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, one of the endorsing congregations for Christ the King Prep. Sister Maureen’s holds a BA in Latin and English from The College of Saint Elizabeth and an MA in Educational Administration from Seton Hall University. Sister Maureen has served as teacher, vice principal, principal and president at several Catholic high schools in New Jersey. Sister Maureen was Director of Admissions at the College of Saint Elizabeth and Associate Dean of Admissions at Iona College. She served as Assistant Superintendent of Schools in the Dioceses of Paterson and Metuchen. She has served as Coordinator of Ministry Services for the Sisters of Charity and was a Councilor on the Sisters of Charity Leadership Team. Sister Maureen has served Boards of Trustees at several high schools. Sister Maureen also holds a certificate in Building Plans and Construction.
Sister Ann Michele Texido, SC
Sister Ann Michele is a member of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, one of the endorsing congregations for Christ the King Prep. Sister Ann Michele has a BA from the College of Saint Elizabeth in Latin and an MAT from Saint Louis University. Sister Ann Michele has been a high school teacher and vice principal. She also served as Dean of Students and Director of Financial Aid at the College of Saint Elizabeth. Sister Ann Michele served as Provincial Treasurer and Councilor for the Western Province of the Sisters of Charity and as Coordinator of Administrative Services for the Congregation. Sister Ann Michele has served on Boards of Trustees for several Catholic institutions.
